Our Flooded Yard

It started raining on Thursday and then we had a big thunder/lighting storm that night. The rain kept coming most of the day on Friday and before long our whole yard was under water! Its a good thing that our house it built up off the ground. My mom stopped by and measured how high the water was and in some parts it was a foot deep! We were mostly worried about my car getting water in it but it was parked closer to the house on higher ground. If you look in the back ground you can see our storage chest floating by the road. Don't worry we got it before it floated too far away. All of Kaiden's outside toys were also floating all over our yard. I haven't checked to see if we're missing any yet. Kaiden loved watching the rain out the window and was thrilled to go with Gege through the water.

Kalli

Here's a few new pictures of Kalli. I can't believe how much she's been growing. She's spoiled rotten and only wants her momma most of the time to hold her. I can't get much done but I love the snuggle time.

MawMaw's House

I just love this picture of Kaiden and my grandmother. I think they both look so cute. She's 90 years old and was rolling all on the floor with Kaiden and they were having the best time. I couldn't believe all the energy she had that day especially at her age.

Summer Time!!

This was our first time to go swimming this year. I know some of you think its crazy that its even been warm enough to do so. It was a little more chilly than we expected but not too bad once we got in the water. Kaiden was very hesitant to get in even if it was with me or Aunt Lisa. He would much rather just splash and play on the steps. We still had a great time and I was able to get a little sun too!

Uncle Aaron's Motorbike

Kaiden use to ride with Uncle Aaron all the time on his bikes. But then Aaron had to go really fast one time and it scared Kaiden to death. So its been a LONG time since he's rode with him again. I think it helped that the bike was small and I pretty much forced him to get on. But he ended up loving it and had a lot of fun. But when we asked Kaiden later on that day if he wanted to ride again he said no. I guess he still needs a little more time.

Mr Potato Head

Kaiden loves playing with these Mr Potato head glasses at my mom's. I was sick one day and my mom took the kids and Kaiden insisted on having Kalli were the glasses too. I think it looks hilarious! My mom helped him put them on but later Kaiden was sneaking around and put them on her himself. We're lucky he didn't poke her eye out!

Here are a few new pics of Kalli. She's so peaceful when she's sleeping. She's really starting to smile and coo more. Its sooo cute. I tried to get a good pic of her smiling but I think this one is only a half smile...still cute! Kaiden didn't hold back on smiling at all.
