No Skool for Kaiden

On our weekly trip to Wal-mart I decided to buy Kaiden his own booksack to carry all his stuff in. That's right I said booksack not backpack! My diaper bag is getting too full and heavy with both kids toys, diapers, and anything and everything! I had already asked Kaiden if he wanted a booksack and he was super excited to have his very own. The only problem was I couldn't find a small one that wasn't pink. Then I went to get a box of diapers and saw this spiderman one. Kaiden loved it and was wearing it all over the store. He was being really good too, just following me around talking about how cool he was with his new booksack. Tuesday morning as Joe was getting ready for school Kaiden found his booksack and I helped him put it on. As Joe was about to leave Kaiden started saying he was going to go to school too. He was very upset (as you can see in the pictures) that he couldn't go. He didn't understand why he couldn't go even though he had a booksack. Trying to get him happy we decided to take a few pictures of him and Dad with their booksacks. It didn't quite work as planned but he shortly got over it and was on to something else.

I said booksack the other day to my friend and she had me repeat it twice. Everyone tells me they can't tell I am from the south because I don't really have a thick accent but I do still say certain words that need to be translated.

Hayden is sad sometimes when we tell him he can't go to school with Jeremiah. I thought maybe getting him his own backpack would make it all better, apparently not =) Jeremiah's just sad that Hayden can't go to school in his place.

Oh how sweet =). But sad for Kaiden too =(. Bennett does the same thing. We designated Bennett's backpack for church and then he'll have a special one for preschool. Hopefully that doesn't trigger Bennett into thinking that now he can go to Daddy's school too!

That's so sad:( That poor baby just wanted to go to school with his daddy. Good thing you took some pictures b/c in a few years he may be giving you fits about going to school and you can show him these pictures.

ya, the booksack thing needs to go ;) i have never heard someone say it that way. how sad that kayden couldn't go to school with dad. i need to get syd a backPACK this weekend for her to use at school. i had found her a little one so that it wasn't bigger than her and he teacher gives them a 81/2 x 11 sized folder for them to put stuff in so now she needs a big one too.
