New Tractor

Wednesday Sept 10

My really good friend Wendy came with me to pick up Kaiden on his second day of school and poor little guy was the last one there! I had told my mom how I had to wait in line to pick Kaiden up his first day and she said I should just go later and miss the line completely. Well i did just that but on my way there the road his street is on was closed coming from Hwy 16 b/c of the big truck picking up all the trees and debris from the storm. I had to turn around and go down another side street and get on a busy street to hit the street where Kaiden's school is from another entrance. After all that mess my poor kid was the last kid just hanging out with the teachers. He didn't seem to mind and was just excited to see Wendy and know we were going to have lunch. After lunch Wendy surprised Kaiden at home with her nephew's old electric John Deer tractor. He was in heaven for the few minutes I let him drive it around. Kalli even like being pulled on the trailer. After nap time we brought the tractor over to GeGe and Papas to show it off. Kaiden thought he was big stuff driving around like Papa while he was mowing the grass. This tractor has brought much entertainment to both of the kids. Kalli even tries to drive it but obviously doesn't quite grasp how it works. She knows the pedal is what makes it move but doesn't realize she needs to put her foot down on it. So instead she leans forward and uses her hand. You can imagine she runs into things really quickly that way! Thanks Aunt Wendy for the great toy!
